Crystalization

Producing uniform crystals with high color quality is the ultimate goal in any sugar mill. This is easily achieved with a good quality syrup or massecuite and an expert sugar engineer. However, if the quality of the massecuite decreases, we may experience elongation in the crystals and the color of the final sugar may be affected.

 

EUROCHEM – ZUCRA provide special surfactants to reduce the viscosity of the mother liquor, improving the fluidity of the cooked masses and reducing or eliminating these costly effects. Likewise, during the normal operation of the kitchen EUROCHEM – ZUCRA supply surfactants to minimize the loading times of the batch, cut the cooking time, achieve greater uniformity in the crystals and reduce the purity of the molasses. This implies important economic savings, not without mentioning a greater depletion of the syrup and a better color in the final sugar.
